As we head into the holiday season, we are hoping people will help give homeless animals, “Homes for the Holidays.” During this winter promotion, which runs December 15 – 26, 2014, adoption fees for available pets at the Greenwood County Animal Shelter will be discounted 50%. Adopted pets are vaccinated, heartworm or leukemia tested, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. Regular adoption processes apply.
See adoptable dogs and cats online and be sure to look at the current impounded pets, too. Impounded, or stray, pets, if not reclaimed by their owners after their hold time, may be available to adopt. The best way to see and meet available pets is to visit the Adoption Center at 235 Wilbanks Circle behind the Greenwood Civic Center. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 10:00a to 5:00p.
