Pets of the Week – February 13, 2012

Dana

Dana is a one year old “foxy” terrier who is quite adept at finding ways to get to your heart. She takes her time to warm up, constantly assessing what she likes about you, and once you’re “a-okay,” then she will allow you to spend time with her. A perfect day for her includes some napping in the sun and cuddle time with her people. She is very direct when she wants attention — every girl wants you to know what will make her happy — and, if her vocal communication doesn’t work, she will resort to showing you her soulful puppy dog eyes. She does well with friendly felines and children, although she is little pickier about her canine companions. So if you’re looking for an independent female who can take care of herself, a cheerleader for you when you go on walks, or just someone to snuggle and watch movies with — Dana is the dog for you!

Nym

Nym is a four to five-month-old Buff Tabby youngster who was found wandering in Ninety Six lost from her home. Nobody came looking for her at the animal shelter, so she’s “on the market” for adoption. Nym is quite talkative. Quite. What exactly it is that she’s saying is up to your imagination. She loves attention and affection, along with access to an available lap for cuddling and napping. It’s best to let her call the shots when it comes to what activities you and she will engage in because you’ll get to hear about it if you don’t. Come to the Humane Society of Greenwood and adopt Nym to get a shot of nonstop entertainment and love added to your home.
