Volunteer help at the Greenwood County Animal Shelter is vital for saving unwanted and abandoned animals in our community.
Volunteers are needed to perform a variety of services, including kennel enrichment, socialization, and dog walking, assist at community adoption events, fundraising, administrative tasks, helping with animal transport, bathing, and grooming, providing basic training to dogs, general or spot cleaning kennels or sharing other skills. Attending a volunteer orientation is how to get started!
Immediately following orientation we will be providing a training session to those interested in walking dogs or helping with our adoption events. This session begins at approximately 11am and ends at 12pm.
The classes are at the Greenwood Animal Shelter Adoption Center located at 235 Wilbanks Circle. Volunteer Applications will be available at orientation or click here to complete prior to orientation.
