Cooper — Adopted
If it wasn’t for Cooper’s size, he would be the epitome of the 1940s cartoon dog, Droopy. This 8-month-old, slow-moving, never-in-a-rush Coonhound mix is as laid back as they come. Despite his enormous feet, he is quite graceful managing a gallop or two when a super surge of energy overtakes him. As is the norm, other dogs at the shelter bark at him while he’s in the yard. However, he is completely unfazed and responds by leisurely approaching each, tilting his head as if saying, “Hello, how are you?” This derpy dog is just the sweetest and he will be the best family friend.
Shimmer — Adopted
Shimmer is simply stunning. From her orangy-orange and black Torti coat to her oh-so-green eyes, this perfect feline is quite the looker. Not only is she pretty, she has personality, too! She gets her purr motor running as soon as someone stops to admire her and really gets happy when she receives affection. She will always reward you with more love than you give by giving a gentle head butt or rubbing around your legs. Her favorite pastimes are napping, staring, and Scrabble. Increase the value of your home and life by adopting Shimmer.
The adoption fees are free for both featured pets through August 12, 2017. To see these and other available dogs and cats for adoption, visit the Greenwood County Animal Shelter at 235 Wilbanks Circle, Monday through Saturday, 11a to 4:30p.
