Mattie
Mattie may just be the cutest little Plott Hound around. She’s only 10 months old, so she’s full of puppy energy, which she likes to burn off playing with other dogs or her human friends. She might be a little bashful at first. But if she’s allowed to make herself at home in her own time, you’ll soon see a loving, sweet dog that will belly crawl up to you and roll over, hoping for some scratches. Mattie thinks dog toys are the best thing since sliced bread, and she’ll happily run around the yard playing with anything you give her. And when she’s tuckered herself out, she’s quite content to flop down in the sun and soak up some rays. Quick movements make her nervous, so Mattie is looking for a forever home with laid-back and relaxed grownups. Come see this brindle beauty today.
Albert
He may not be an actual Einstein, but this Albert is certainly special in his own way. This two-year-old kitty is as handsome as he is playful, sporting a sleek black coat accented with snowy white on his chest, chin, and feet. He’s a sweet, loving boy who truly enjoys the company of humans, begging for attention from everyone he meets. Albert is very fond of his toys; so much so, that his antics can be a bit boisterous at times, so he’d probably do best in a home with someone who’s had cats before. In fact, he seems to like other felines as well, so if you already have one or two at home, Albert might fit right in. Not much fazes this guy, so he would most likely be content to have doggie siblings as well.
The adoption fees are free for both featured pets through March 3, 2018. To see these and other available dogs and cats for adoption, visit the Greenwood County Animal Shelter at 235 Wilbanks Circle, Monday through Saturday, 11a to 4:30p.
