Pets of the Week – Week of June 27th, 2016 (Bo and Snickers)
Bo
Bo is a year-and-a-half old Weimaraner mix who is highly athletic with a lot of energy. This breed is not for just anyone, no matter how cute and expressive their faces may be. Weimaraners can be demanding dogs who require strong leadership and a lot of exercise in order to maintain an even temperament.
Volunteer Orientation Saturday, July 9th at 10am
Volunteer help at the Greenwood County Animal Shelter is vital for saving unwanted and abandoned animals in our community.
Volunteers are needed to perform a variety of services, including kennel enrichment, socialization and dog walking, assist at community adoption events, fund raising, administrative tasks, helping with animal transport, bathing and grooming,
Adoptable Dogs and Cats at Petsmart Saturday, June 25th, 11am to 3pm
The Humane Society of Greenwood will be at Petsmart in Greenwood, SC, Saturday from 11a to 3p with adoptable pets from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. Available dogs and cats will be there for you to visit, play with, and adopt. We’ll look forward to seeing you there!
Pets of the Week – Week of June 20th, 2016 (Neil and Monkey)
Monkey
Monkey was discovered strolling around by herself, whether she was lost or left isn’t known. But his independent kitty didn’t seem bothered much because she likes doing her thing, and she expects others to do theirs. Her tortoiseshell coat is splotched with sunrise orange, onyx black, and ivory white. It’s a unique coloring blend that serves to either camouflage her when she prefers to be unseen or spotlight her when she wants love and attention.
