Volunteer Orientation, Saturday, December 5, 2015, 10a – 11a

Volunteer help is vital for helping save animals’ lives. Volunteers are needed to perform a variety of services, including kennel enrichment, socialization and dog walking, assist at community adoption events, fund raising, administrative tasks, helping with animal transport, bathing and grooming, providing basic training to dogs, general or spot cleaning kennels or sharing other skills.

Pets of the Week – Week of November 30th, 2015 (Azula and Black Betty)

Azula

Always full of fun surprises, Azula is a ginger and white, Hound/Weimeraner mix just under one-year-old. She loves playing, running, frolicking, romping, or basically any activity that keeps her amused. This pooch’s perfect match is someone who will let her be part of the home and give her the extra attention she needs to be all that she can be.

Pets of the Week – Week of November 16th, 2015 (Kendra and Danimal)

With a faraway gaze, little Miss Kendra is the ultimate day dreamer. All the time that she’s spent with her head in the clouds has paid off, leaving her as gentle, plush, and soft as can be. Kendra’s short coat is patched grey and gold with watercolor artistry. At only one year old, her personality is purr-fectly peaceful and serene even with plenty of feline roommates.

Pictured are Michael McCarthy (HSOG Educator/Volunteer Coordinator) and Samantha Byrd (GMFCU) and Jax, an adoptable dog at the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. We all are so grateful to everyone who made this gift possible and that we were selected by the fine folks at GMFCU!
