Keep Your Pets Safe During July 4th – Fireworks are not a pet’s best friend

As the country dons its red, white and blue to celebrate Independence Day, nothing says patriotism like a good old-fashioned barbecue with a side of fireworks. But what’s fun for people can often be a downright drag for our furry friends. The Humane Society of the United States offers the following tips to help ensure both you and your pets enjoy the holiday.

We Have A Van!

Thanks to the generosity of over 70 donors, including foundations, corporations, local businesses, and individual supporters, we have a transport van! Volunteer Orientation, June 7, 10am

Volunteer help is vital for helping save animals’ lives. Volunteers are needed to perform a variety of services, including kennel enrichment, socialization and dog walking, assist at community adoption events, fund raising, administrative tasks, helping with animal transport, bathing and grooming, providing basic training to dogs, general or spot cleaning kennels or sharing other skills.
