The Humane Society of Greenwood will be at Petsmart in Greenwood, SC, April 19 from 11a to 3p with adoptable dogs from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. Available pooches and kitties will be there for you to visit, play with, and adopt. We’ll look forward to seeing you there!

April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month

April is “Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month.” The ASPCA, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, began this important month for animals eight years ago and it is now a nationwide celebration of the human-animal bond and of victories on behalf of animals.

The Humane Society of Greenwood wants all to realize that animal abuse and neglect occurs in their own community.

Belk Kids Fest March 29, 12p to 2p

Belk in Greenwood, SC has a fun-filled day planned for kids and parents alike — fashion show, face painting, and other activities. We will be outside the main entrance from 12p to 2p with adoptable dogs. Come out and visit us! The dogs hope you do.

Thirty More Pets Spayed/Neutered This Week!

Thirty (30!) dogs and cats traveled to Animal Allies yesterday to be spayed/neutered this week! Applause, applause, applause for those pet owners who are taking advantage of the free transport and low prices. All of you with spayed/neutered pets are helping our efforts to reduce the number of animals that enter the shelter system.
