The Humane Society of Greenwood was selected by the GMFCU Board of Directors to receive a donation from monies collected through their “Skip-A-Pay” program. Pictured are Michael McCarthy (HSOG Educator/Volunteer Coordinator) and Samantha Byrd (GMFCU) and Jax, an adoptable dog at the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. We all are so grateful to everyone who made this gift possible and that we were selected by the fine folks at GMFCU!

The Petco Foundation in partnership with Halo, Purely for Pets, announced its Holiday Wishes grant campaign, and we have the opportunity to receive $100,000 with your help! If you adopted your pet from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter (operated by the Humane Society of Greenwood) you can share your story and nominate us!

Wellness Works of Self Regional Healthcare held “Furry Friends of Fitness,” a fund raiser to benefit the Humane Society of Greenwood. During the January event members and staff donated 200 lbs. of dry food, 311 cans of wet food, 134 rolls of paper towels, plus blankets, toys, dish soap, laundry detergent, and other needed items.

Sweat 4 Pets is a fundraiser to help participants keep their New Year’s resolutions to get healthy and also help raise monies for The Humane Society of Greenwood at the same time! Win/win!
Each participant chooses a weight loss goal they want to reach by April 17, 2015, with the initial weigh-in beginning January 12.
