Camp Good Dog For Kids 2015
Camp Good Dog for Kids is a fun and exciting learning experience for kids who love animals and want to make a positive difference in a shelter dog’s life!
Volunteer Orientation, Saturday, February 7, 10a – 11a
Volunteer help is vital for helping save animals’ lives. Volunteers are needed to perform a variety of services, including kennel enrichment, socialization and dog walking, assist at community adoption events, fund raising, administrative tasks, helping with animal transport, bathing and grooming, providing basic training to dogs, general or spot cleaning kennels or sharing other skills.
We’re Freezing Cat Adoption Fees For February!
Cat adoption fees at the Greenwood County Animal Shelter will be free for the month of February. The HSOG received a Cat Chow “Building Better Lives” cat adoption grant from Purina and Petfinder Foundation. The program provides funding to subsidize cat adoption fees helping to find cats their forever homes. Adopted cats are vaccinated,
Adoptable Dogs and Cats at Petsmart Saturday, January 10
The Humane Society of Greenwood will be at Petsmart in Greenwood, SC, Saturday from 11a to 3p with adoptable dogs from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. Available pooches and kitties will be there for you to visit, play with, and adopt. We’ll look forward to seeing you there!
Sweat 4 Pets Fund Raiser
Sweat 4 Pets is a fundraiser to help participants keep their New Year’s resolutions to get healthy and also help raise monies for The Humane Society of Greenwood at the same time! Win/win!
Each participant chooses a weight loss goal they want to reach by April 17, 2015, with the initial weigh-in beginning January 12.
“Homes For The Holidays” Special Promotion – Dec. 15 – 26
As we head into the holiday season, we are hoping people will help give homeless animals, “Homes for the Holidays.” During this winter promotion, which runs December 15 – 26, 2014, adoption fees for available pets at the Greenwood County Animal Shelter will be discounted 50%. Join us at Petsmart in Greenwood, SC from 11a to 3p on Saturday and 1p to 4p on Sunday to meet and adopt available dogs and cats from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. Adoption fees for dogs and cats will be discounted 50%!
PetSmart will be offering pizza and drinks and adopters will be eligible to enter a drawing for a PetSmart gift basket.
