Chanel is a Blue Heeler/Pointer mix and working man’s best friend in the making. She works hard during the day and relaxes at night. She’s two years young and full of fun.

Wilma loves making waves, but not the irksome kind — this enchanting little inventor with the pastel tri-color stripes will drag her heavy water bowl just enough to make the water slosh inside, then drink while it’s still moving, delicious! Four-year-old Wilma was found stray but now she’s ready for high-society; she’s full grown, forever small,

Tiny’s no longer tiny! He was so named because of his “teeniness” when he and his two siblings came to the shelter. Both his sister and brother have been adopted and now, at 5 months old, Tiny feels he’s ready to leave the nest. He has not had any exposure to the outside world and feels more comfortable hanging out inside where he can easily access the people of the house and their most comfortable furniture.

He looks like an Emperor Penguin but his vibrant purr gives him away, that and his funny short-form meow that comes out “Me Me Me Me Me!” Alas, handsome six-year-old Frasier was turned in by a loving family because he couldn’t learn to share — he needs to be your only cat, but he’s the only cat you’ll need.

You can see her gentle brown freckles clearly through her white coat and her personality’s just as transparent — 2-year-old Akeela’s feminine, vulnerable and authentically eager to please; a stellar Terrier/American Pit Bull companion whose owner moved away and abandoned her; but somehow left her tender heart more receptive than ever. She cried when her roommate was adopted, but then 2-year-old Jaya’s loving heart is way bigger than the rest of her; her terrier/mix size makes her a perfect lap dog, although she’s too full of fun to stay lap bound for long. Jaya was found stray, and the greatest mystery is how a lone little dog came to be such a fine companion —

He’s smart, resourceful and playful too — as handsome as he is friendly, beautifully housetrained and ready to enrich your life with all the Labrador/Husky charm that runs through his veins. Shadow was turned in because he kept escaping, but when you look into his blue and blue/brown eyes you’ll understand that this rollicking 5-year-old needs mental and physical fun;

The commander of a sea vessel, he is not. But Skipper is the kind of dog that will have you skipping along and playing with him. This Jack Russell Terrier and Chihuahua mix is a joy of a dog. His love is indiscriminate. Adults, kids of all ages, and other dogs are a-okay by him and he welcomes anyone who wants to enjoy a romp in the yard or a leisurely walk.

Lets GO GO GO! Two-year-old Dottie is always as busy as a bee — a Blue Heeler and Siberian Husky bee, that is. Have a task that needs handled? Give it to Dottie. She’s an “alpha” dog all the way, liking to take charge and be the leader of the pack. However, her delightful personality shines best when she’s the only dog.

Her skinny jeans haven’t fit in a while, but this 6-years-young Calico Queen’s so abundantly pleasant it’s doesn’t matter anyway; after all, jeans aren’t made to fit your heart, and if they were they wouldn’t fit hers. Mrs. Butterworth was found in Ware Shoals with her sister and brother; all 3 are spayed/neutered, clearly loving pets who stuck closely together when they found themselves homeless.
