Closed for Thanksgiving
The Greenwood County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center will be closed on Thursday, November 26, for the Thanksgiving holiday. We will re-open on Friday, November 27. Have a great holiday everyone!
Adoptable Dogs at Petco Saturday, November 21, 11am to 3pm
We will be at Petco in Greenwood, SC on Saturday, November 21, from 11a to 3p with adoptable dogs and cats from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. It’s going to be a beautiful day, so come out and visit. You may just meet a new best furry friend!
Pets of the Week – Week of November 16th, 2015 (Kendra and Danimal)
With a faraway gaze, little Miss Kendra is the ultimate day dreamer. All the time that she’s spent with her head in the clouds has paid off, leaving her as gentle, plush, and soft as can be. Kendra’s short coat is patched grey and gold with watercolor artistry. At only one year old, her personality is purr-fectly peaceful and serene even with plenty of feline roommates.
Donation from Greenwood Municipal Federal Credit Union
The Humane Society of Greenwood was selected by the GMFCU Board of Directors to receive a donation from monies collected through their “Skip-A-Pay” program. PetSmart National Adoption Event, November 14 & 15
Join us at Petsmart in Greenwood, SC from 10:30a to 3:30p on Saturday and 12:30p to 4p on Sunday to meet and adopt available dogs, cats, and kittens from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. Adoption fees for dogs and cats at the event will be half off! Don’t miss this chance to adopt love!
Volunteer Orientation, Saturday, November 7, 10a – 11a
Volunteer help is vital for helping save animals’ lives. Volunteers are needed to perform a variety of services, including kennel enrichment, socialization and dog walking, assist at community adoption events, fund raising, administrative tasks, helping with animal transport, bathing and grooming, providing basic training to dogs, general or spot cleaning kennels or sharing other skills.
