We will be at Petco in Greenwood, SC on Saturday, November 21, from 11a to 3p with adoptable dogs and cats from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. It’s going to be a beautiful day, so come out and visit. You may just meet a new best furry friend!

With a faraway gaze, little Miss Kendra is the ultimate day dreamer. All the time that she’s spent with her head in the clouds has paid off, leaving her as gentle, plush, and soft as can be. Kendra’s short coat is patched grey and gold with watercolor artistry. At only one year old, her personality is purr-fectly peaceful and serene even with plenty of feline roommates.

The Humane Society of Greenwood was selected by the GMFCU Board of Directors to receive a donation from monies collected through their “Skip-A-Pay” program. Volunteer help is vital for helping save animals’ lives. Volunteers are needed to perform a variety of services, including kennel enrichment, socialization and dog walking, assist at community adoption events, fund raising, administrative tasks, helping with animal transport, bathing and grooming, providing basic training to dogs, general or spot cleaning kennels or sharing other skills.

Join us at Howard’s On Main for an afternoon of variety music at its best by local band, Sho-Tyme. This music-filled event will happen during Uptown Greenwood’s Holiday Open House. Monetary donations for the HSOG will be collected at the door and there will be a supply drive at the event for blankets,
