Join us at Petsmart in Greenwood Friday, 11/15 (12p – 4p), Saturday, 11/16 (11a – 4p), and Sunday, 11/17 (1p – 4p) to meet and adopt available dogs and cats from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. The HSOG has been selected by the ASPCA as one of the beneficiaries of the 9Lives Morris’ Rescue Watch grant to receive an entire pallet of cat food! We will be picking it up in December from a distribution center in Atlanta. We may be soliciting volunteer help to pick up the food and bring it back to Greenwood.

This documentary was filmed in mid-July 2013. Volunteers from Operation Paws For Homes (OPH), one of HSOGs rescue partners, drove 600 miles from Maryland and Washington D.C. to document how and why OPH travels to animal shelters in rural Southern areas to pick up dogs, transport them back to Northern states to adopt them out.
